Future Readiness and The NEP 2020: Opportunities and Challenges for Schools

About Event

Through this session we will get an opportunity to ponder on the changes sweeping across the globe. We will get a chance to look within and beyond, to better understand if we are doing enough to make our children future ready. We will try to connect the dots between all the sytstemic and procedural changes that are focused on lifting CBSE schools into newer horizons. And in this process we would all try to get a holistic view of the very essential changes that each one of us need to bring to the table, to ensure that the future of our children and our nation as a whole stays bright!

Industry Relevance
We would all agree that the education system has been stagnant for the past several decades. Though technological developments have changed the way we interact with the world and industries have long been demanding for better-skilled and employable individuals, the curriculum and teaching-learning process has more or less been adamantly stuck in the age of the industrial revolution. In 2020, the central government released the National Education Policy (NEP) outlining drastic changes at institutional and pedagocical levels with an aim to equip the students to face the ever-changing world.

Schools will surely need to shift focus from trying to be the best knowledge distribution centres to places of holistic and wholesome development where children are prepared to face the new world. As educators each one of us need to create that collaborative space for our children to transform their knowledge into action.
