About Event
Presented by Kanal The Parenting Formula for the Gen Z powered by Bloombloom, the Workshop is bringing in a psychiatrist and a child expert to help us identify the realities of parenting. We shall focus on building an effective parenting structure together.
The major factor we'll be discussing is to convince our children and ourselves that they could come to you with problems of intense enormity or even the tiniest of things. Safe spaces could be built and open discussions could be made with the family, all it takes is to understand how to initiate it. This includes exuding your confidence in them and their talents, understanding their inner turmoils and identifying their weak spots to help them out. Ultimately, we can ensure that our children don't handle things on their own and make mistakes that cannot be reversed.
We'll also deal with topics like sex education, cyberbullying and cyber addiction and how we can properly communicate with our children and make them aware of them.
By the end of it, you would be clear on what to say and what not to do when it comes to dealing with your children. And how you can be even more connected with your children.
Relevance
When we were young, haven't we wished for our parents to understand us better? Haven't we had friends whose parents just couldn't see the person they were? And not to mention, how we worry if our children would make the right choices in life. Making sure that they are safe. That they would seek our help if they need it. But how do we ensure that? What can we do? Most importantly, what shouldn't we do to drive them away?
As a parent, it is our responsibility to ensure that our children do not feel the existence of a generation gap. From hiding heartbreaks to problems at school or college, our children shouldn't have to feel like they have to hide who they are from us. They should feel accepted as who they are flaws and all. And we may believe that we show them this love from our side but sometimes things get lost in translation.
From sex education to mental health, children struggle to express themselves. Save and healthy parenting is the need of the hour. Our children learn from us from the smallest of conversations to our actions. Let's understand the psychology of young ones and learn from the experts on how we can make their home environment as comfortable, safe, honest, and open as much as we can.
