We live in the age where athletes themselves provide feedback or suggestions on how their attire should be. This requires us designers to go a step ahead and up our game. Their physical, emotional and psychological needs are to be satisfied, and as the years pass, the industry is growing more and more complex.
Everything has a hold on sportswear nowadays ranging from colour trends to street style. So, a well skilled designer and business brand would combine this aspect to the benefits aspect to come up with fresh and new ideas to keep the business running. Even a very bizarre design could catch on with the right audience, and the key is to know your audience. But finally, the athlete need to feel confident. In looks and in feels.
What is it that promotes the best activewear brands? The ability to stretch, support, provide comfort and wipe moisture off. The space given to the skin to breathe and the moisture wicking material presence which evaporates all the sweat off much faster is definitely a plus.
